Post Holiday Treats

Yeah, that's all I need right now... more treats.

Feeling sufficiently uncomfortable in my skin due to overindulgence in food and booze (cut to cliche of resolving to lose weight in the new year). Truthfully, I can't resolve to do anything right now unless it's less than a week away. There's too much uncertainty swirling around in this little head of mine to commit to more than taking each day as it comes and trying to better myself with each passing hour.

And speaking of, I am going to blatantly plagiarize right now by copying a section from a true artist's blog - there's none that's said it better when it comes to the new year - "Another year is fast approaching. Go be that starving Artist you’re afraid to be. Open up that journal and get poetic finally. Volunteer. Suck it up and travel. You were not put here to work and pay taxes. You were put here to be part of a vast organism to explore and create. Stop putting it off. The world has much more to offer than what’s on 15 televisions at TGI
Fridays. Take pictures. Scare people. Shake up the scene. Be the change you want to see in the world. You’ll thank yourself for it."

While this is a total non-sequiter, I've fallen in love with a new online web series called 'Quarterlife". Given it's namesake, you can pretty much deduct that it has to do with twenty-something year old people and the drama they go through - but the approach to the series is genius - and so is the online community they've built around it. Video blogging...amazing. Check it out:

Happy New Year to you and yours...bring on 2008!
